Newham Community Research Networks CRN

After a year of hard work, networking and creativity, the Newham Community Research Network is now under way. Our first cohort of Citizen Social Scientists has begun their training and aim to graduate in March; with two more cohorts joining in April and September 2026. This marks a major step in building long-term community research capacity across local organisations in Newham.

Newham Community Research Networks - Citizen Social Scientists Graduation

We are excited to invite you to the graduation of the first cohort of Citizen Scientists with the Newham Community Research Network. The graduation will take place on Thursday 9 April, from 1.45pm to 4.00pm at UCL Marshgate, E20 2AE. The event will be hosted and led by the Citizen Scientists themselves, who have shown real commitment throughout the programme. It will be a chance to see their completed research, hear about their experience, and enjoy networking and refreshments afterwards.

NHS 10-Year Plan Community of Practice for VCFSE Leaders

This is an in-person event. This Community of Practice is designed to enable the VCFSE sector to work together to reduce health inequalities. We will be hearing from ICB leads about the commissioning / contract process, what do we know to date and how can we prepare. We also receive a broad overview of the Public Health Management Tool and lastly, we will explore the introduction and development of Integrated Neighbourhood Teams.
